The Fekete Pince Juhfark 2019 is a superb expression of Somló’s volcanic terroir. The hand-harvested, gently pressed grapes were fermented and aged for 10 months in 1000-liter Hungarian oak barrels, followed by further aging in stainless steel tanks. A medium golden color, it boasts a viscous texture and a structured, firm style. Ripe peach, quince, and southern fruit notes like mango are complemented by an exciting salty minerality. Dry, medium-bodied with typical Somló lively acidity and spice. Each sip is a delightful journey through Somló’s rich history.
Our tip: To let the aromas fully open up, we suggest you let Somló wines breathe for a while after opening, preferably by decanting them. Giving them some time to unfold will enhance your tasting experience and reveal their true potential.
