Alongside Les Genevrières and Perrières, Charmes is considered to be the best vineyard in Meursault and, from today’s perspective, would certainly deserve the status of a Grand Cru. But this way you get a great wine at a very good price! The 2020 „Charmes“ from Xavier Monnot lives up to its name. It is a real charmer with a very creamy consistency and at the same time present but finely integrated acidity and a wonderful bouquet of ripe melons, lemon zest and roasted hazelnuts.
