The grapes come from dry-farmed vineyards on the slopes of Stellenbosch overlooking False Bay – ideal conditions for small, concentrated berries with intense fruit and dense structure.In the glass, the wine glows a deep ruby red with lively reflections. The bouquet combines caramelized black cherries, blackberries, dark chocolate and spicy notes. On the palate, the Pinotage is full-bodied, balanced and silky with dense fruit and smooth tannins. The finish is long and elegant – a wine with excellent ageing potential.The wine was aged for 20 months in a combination of French, American and Hungarian oak, 70% in new barriques.
