More information about Tap 6 Our Aventinus According to the brewery, the Aventinus Tap 6 from Schneider Weisse is the oldest wheat doppelbock in the world: long before the competition discovered the delicious beer style, the avant-gardists from Munich were already brewing their wheat doppelbock. The first Aventinus was enjoyed in 1907 and heralded the beginning of a true success story. To this day, the winning streak of this exceptional wheat beer remains unbroken. No wonder, because Tap 6 delights fans and beer connoisseurs worldwide with its complex malty aroma and magnificent ruby red color. The dark wheat beer impresses with its strong body and aroma-intensive depth.Aventinus Tap 6 presents itself in a shimmering ruby-red mahogany color in the glass and is crowned with a considerable amount of dense, creamy foam. An irresistible aroma of ripe banana, dark caramel and chocolate-dipped raisins rises from the fine-pored, slightly tinted crown. The first sip reveals a voluminous body with a full-bodied aroma: strong notes of caramel, melt-in-the-mouth chocolate and roasted toast join the typical wheat flavor palette of banana, clove, yeast and stone fruit. The malt unfolds its full potential and also ensures a wonderfully velvety mouthfeel. The hops contribute just a hint of bitterness, but this is subordinate to the malty fullness. Perfect with a snack, Sunday roast or as a beer-based dessert.
