It always says something about a winery’s self-assessment of quality and ambition when they choose to bottle a wine not only in standard 750ml bottles, but also in magnums or even double magnums – as Viñedo Chadwick does with their Cabernet. Their 2020 vintage truly lives up to the statement this choice implies. Grapes from one of Chile’s finest vineyard sites, fermentation in stainless steel and concrete tanks, followed by aging – over a quarter of it in Stockinger oak foudres – have produced a highly elegant Cabernet that stands up to any comparison. Be it with various „Supertuscans? or Bordeaux Premier Crus.
