Beschreibung
The local Pinot Blanc wine is bottled in two varieties at the Münzberg winery. One is the somewhat fuller version from the loess-loam soil and the other is made from grapes grown on highly calcareous Keuper soil. The latter is characterised by a remarkably fine and highly elegant appearance. Keuper and limestone create a fine acidity structure and give the wine a deep, salty minerality. On the palate, this Pinot Blanc presents itself with fine floral and herbal tones, an almost dance-like light fruit flavour surrounded by subtle nutty notes and a hint of tobacco. A wine that we particularly recommend with fine game birds such as quail or pheasant.
