Beschreibung
The „Lagröll? is the top Lagrein from Sankt Pauls. The vines come from the gravel and debris soils of a hill exposed to wind and weather at 380 to 420 meters altitude. After destemming, a slow fermentation on the skins took place in open wooden vats and subsequent maturation in tonneaux for 15 months. This Lagrein is powerful and multi-faceted, reminds one of black cherries and plums, forest fruits and alpine herbs, undergrowth, dark chocolate and licorice. On the palate, the fullness and silkiness are inspiring, the round mouthfeel and the pull of fresh acidity and minerality combined with juicy dark fruit and fine sweet extract. A great representative of this autochthonous variety.
