More information about Orgel Weisse The Orgelweiße owes its unusual name to a very special campaign: the very first brew of this wheat beer was brewed to raise money for the new organ of the Memmelsdorf church. In the early 90s of the last century, the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary underwent extensive renovations, which included replacing the ageing organ. Such an instrument costs a lot of money and the Drei Kronen brewery, which is located right next to the church, wanted to help. All proceeds from the organ whites were donated at the time and made a significant contribution to the purchase of the new organ. When the brewery was handed over to its current bosses, the recipe for the fine wheat beer emerged, among other things. The young brewers took up the specialty again and gave it a new shine with small changes and refinements. Today, Orgelweiße is part of the brewery’s core range and is the favorite beer of many of its customers.Brewed seasonally between April and October, the beer has a warm honey hue and is topped off with a small crown of beige foam. On the nose and tongue, this Bavarian classic presents itself with fine malt, strong yeast, berry notes, hints of citrus, tart hops and a lively character.
