Pahlmeyer releases its top Chardonnay under the heading „Icons‘ – and quite rightly so. The 2021 vintage of this flagship white wine is characterised by almost lavish opulence and density and captivates with an intense nose of gooseberry, lemongrass, honey clover and orange blossom honey. Above all, however, it fascinates with the impressive feat of combining equally dense and opulent intensity with a freshness based on radiantly fine acidity. The core of fruit and silky oak tannin is surrounded by salted caramel and baked peach. A Napa Valley Chardonnay that could not be more exemplary and accomplished and which earned James Suckling an impressive 98 points.
