More information about Ambiente Edelweizen Ambiente is a fine spirit based on our own grain spirit made from wheat and malt. This was matured for 5 years in small cognac barrels and then refined with selected ingredients by our master distiller.Ambiente was originally intended to be an anniversary brandy for our 125th anniversary in 1992. To this end, we wanted to create a very special spirit. So we bought up old cognac barrels in which cognac had been stored for decades and filled these barrels with our wheat grain, which had also been stored previously. After just over two years, we realized that something very special was emerging from this.Without further ado, we decided to turn this product into more than just an „anniversary brandy“. Ambiente was born out of this story. The development of the product, the product features and the naming process took a total of two years.The word ambience is used when an environment is particularly pleasant. That’s why we named our product accordingly, because it should not only be drunk in a suitable ambience, but also because it enriches the atmosphere. The name Ambiente and the bottle shape are protected for Krugmann.
