From arguably the best terroir in St. Estèphe, located directly on the Gironde river (like Château Latour, by the way), Montrose is slowly developing into the superstar of the Médoc! Even in the 2021 vintage, the 2ème Cru Classé achieves such a high level of complexity that it is almost unbelievable. Classic Cabernet aromas such as cassis, but also cherry and other dark fruits, mint, licorice and precious woods go hand in hand with great minerality and the finest tannins. This is great hedonism from a wine that still needs some time to convince all the more!
