Beschreibung
Like in a Renaissance landscape painting, the buildings of the former abbey of Badia a Passignano lie on a hill surrounded by gently rolling vineyards. Today it belongs to the Antinori family, who here vinify a Chianti Classico that, with its inner values, perfectly reflects the scenic beauty and historical significance of its terroir. The 65 hectares of vineyards at around 300 meters altitude, with calcareous clay soils, are planted partly with very, very old Sangiovese vines. Almost as if to represent the long and proud history of its region with its highly complex fruit, this Chianti Classico Gran Selezione shows itself as remarkably fresh despite its density.
