Beschreibung

More information about Three crowns Böckla In Franconian dialect, Böckla refers to a small billy goat. However, the word can also be used as an affectionate term for a fine bock beer. At Drei Konen in Memmelsdorf, for example, the traditional Franconian brewery brews its strong Maibock with the name Böckla just in time for the start of spring every year. The pale bock beer heralds the warm season with a mild sweetness and invigorates tired spirits with a strong alcohol content of 6.2%. The seasonal speciality flows into the glass in an opalescent copper-gold and is adorned with a crown of airy, blossom-white foam. A honey-sweet aroma of bready grain and sun-ripened malt rises to the nose and entices you to take your first sip. The first sip reveals a composition of rye, raisins, candied apricots, creamy forest honey, nuts and caramel. A subtle bitterness cleverly rounds off the fruity sweetness, while the hops add gentle herbal notes and a fine tartness to the aroma.Böckla tastes good with almost anything, but we would like to suggest a special delicacy to go with it. An ingenious partner to the well-balanced strong beer is a pink roasted lamb with homemade wild garlic butter, young potatoes, carrots glazed in butter and honey and a creamy sauce of shallots, balsamic vinegar and dark cherries.
