The Clos du Bourg is located above the church of Vouvray and covers six hectares surrounded by an old stone wall – hence the name „Clos“. It is one of the oldest Grand Cru parcels in France. It was already mentioned in the 7th century. The flat soil of the vineyard consists of clay with flint and chalk inclusions. It is located on a typical Turonian tuffeau limestone rock. Here, the vines reach the tuffeau after just one metre. The 2019 is Chenin Blanc at it’s best! Exotic, juicy fruit paired with terrific salty minerality and a creamy, elegant and complex structure make this wine a great experience. Definitely try it!
