Two years of ageing on the lees turn the „Marienburg Fahrlay Riesling“ from Clemens Busch into a „reserve“. The 2016 vintage, which was only released in 2019, is complex and inviting with a wonderful aroma of pears and apples, medlars and juniper, iodine, oyster shell and citrus fruits. On the palate, the Riesling is sensual and supple, dense and complex with a high intensity of herbs and rocks, as well as an immense juiciness. VINOUS, JAMES SUCKLING and MOSEL FINE WINES awarded it 94 points, ROBERT PARKER even gave it 97 points.
